What to have ready when you call
It speeds things up considerably if you know a few things before we talk. Which zones are affected, or whether it is the whole system. Whether you are on city water or a private well. Roughly how old the system is, if you know. And whether anything recent might be related — new sod, a fence or pool installed, tree work, a storm, or a power outage. Half of our diagnoses start on the phone.
Before you call about brown spots
Part the grass at the edge of a brown patch and look down into the thatch for small insects. Southern chinch bug damage looks identical to drought stress and it is the most common misdiagnosis in St. Augustine lawns here. If you find bugs, a lawn treatment company is who you want. We will tell you that for free.
